YOUNG Millers bowed out of the FA Youth Cup in the first qualifying round on Friday (20 September) evening at Parkside.

Second half sub Ellis Mensah got Millers back into the game with a 67th minute goal from the penalty spot after Billericay had taken the lead with two first efforts from Bobby Kellman.

The visitors ended the half with ten men after Marcel De Sousa Bouchie was sent off close the the interval and hopes were lifted after Mensah's goal when a second Town player, got sent off in added time.

However, some fine goalkeeping from Billericay's Ben Chilvers kept his side ahead and the game ended with Millers frustratingly rueing what might have been.

The defeat ends borough interest in the competition. Grays bowed out 4-1 at home to Hackney Wick earlier in the month, as did Tilbury who were beaten 6-2 at Enfield Borough.
