A BOROUGH girls team is celebrating success after reaching a regional final.

County Park Under 12 Girls' fine season has seen them reach the Essex FA U12 Girls County Cup final which will be played on Sunday, 23 April at Great Wakering Rovers FC.

The team, who play in the BCFA Youth League Under 12 Division 6, are based at Thames Rugby Club in South Ockendon and are sponsored by local businessman Wesley Lester's scaffolding contractors company Lester Uk Ltd who generously supplied the team with kits and jackets.

County Parks Girls' successes this season does not stop with reaching the cup final but extends to currently being in the semi-finals of the divisional league cup, and also being invited to represent Essex at the Aces National Tournament in Nottingham in July.

Manager Alan Mason said: "They are a fantastic group of girls, who I couldn't be prouder of. At County Park we are always happy for new girls to come and train with the team."
