EAST Thurrock United coach John Guyton will be taking part in September's berling Marathon.

John, formerly the manager of Basildon United and the Under 23 side at Bowers & Pitsea, and more recently Director of Football at Brentwood Town, is now part of the coaching team at the Rocks - but one thing that hasn't changed is his passion for running, and his wish to raise money whilst he does it.

John recently completed the London Marathon in aid of the charity Children with Cancer UK, and now he's set to run in Berlin Marathon on 23 September.

He's set a fundraising target of £1,000 for the charity, which researches cures for childhood cancer and helps those who suffer from the disease, and their families.

If you head to his Just Giving page - HERE - you can add to the total.
