EAST Thurrock Community FC will start their second Easex and Suffolk Border league premier Division campaign with a trip to Arlesford Colne Rangers on Saturday (9 August, 3pm ko).

The club will be running a coach to the match, meeting at 12 noon at Wyldecrest Park.

The cost is £15 for club owners, £20 for non-owners. Pay cash or card on the day - to reserve your seat, email: [email protected]

Rocks go into the match on the back of a strong and spirited performance to claim a well-earned 4-2 win away at Harold Wood AFC in their last pre-season match last weekend.

The Rocks took an early lead through Bailey Morris, who showed real composure in front of goal, slotting home coolly after a well-weighted assist from Faith Segemani. Harold Wood responded with a goal of their own to level the score, but East Thurrock hit back almost immediately.

Harry Salter rose highest in the box to meet a cross and sent a looping header beyond the keeper to restore the lead.

After the break, Harold Wood were awarded their second penalty of the afternoon, which they converted to make it 2–2. But East Thurrock weren't to be denied. Bobby Reeman found the net to make it 3–2, before Ross Barnes wrapped up the scoring with a tidy finish to put the game out of reach.
