Rocks win on the road

Hertford Heath 0, East Thurrock Community FC 1
ROCKS moved up to seventh in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties South Division table after Saturday's (19 September) hard fought success at Hertford.
The Rocks started brightly and took the lead through Harry Salter, who marked his return to the starting XI with what proved to be the only goal of the afternoon.
ETCFC continued to work hard and defended their advantage well as Hertford Heath looked for a way back into the game. The match became increasingly competitive as the afternoon went on, with both sides picking up bookings.
A returning former Rocks captain Danny Cossington on loan back to the new Rocks gave a fantastic performance back in amber and black.
The hosts were reduced to ten men late in the game, giving the Rocks an opportunity to manage the closing stages. ETCFC remained disciplined and saw the game through to secure all three points.
It was a fantastic team performance, with everyone putting in a shift to secure a valuable clean sheet and another away victory.
East Thurrock's next league match is at eighth-placed London Harts United on Saturday, 29 September.
