GRAYS dispatched in-form Witham Town at the EMR Stadium on Tuesday (20 January).

Coming into tonight's Isthmian League North Division fixture Witham had won their last three games, but Blues got back on track after losing to top-of-the-table Lowestoft Town at the weekend.

Second half goals from Billy Crook (64 minutes) and Charlie Stimson (89) secured the morale-boosting result.

After a run of four succesive defeats the Blues may feel they have turned a corner with two wins from their last three matches, and the defeat in between was a very creditable display at pace-setting league leaders Lowestoft.

Kein Connolly put Grays ahead after 14 minutes with a penalty but on 34 minutes the visitors were level through Joshua Olaoluwa Isude.

It stayed that way until just after the hour mark when Grays' superiority on the night finally kicked in and paid dividends.

Grays manager Darren Manning said: "They are a good side and we knew we needed to be our best.

"That's a really big win for us, I felt we controlled the game and I am really pleased with the boys, especially in the second half.

Grays are next in action, again at Tilbury, on Saturday when Wroxham FC visit The EMR Stadium.

Wroxham have taken five points from their last five games and sit 15th in the league.
