Tilbury show improved form to take a point

Tilbury 1, Redbridge 1
CHARLIE Stimson and Bobby Rea returned to Dockers' starting line-up for Saturday's (3 October) Isthmian North clash against Redbridge who are challenging at the top end of the table.
The hosts came close to opening the scoring inside 20 minutes, as Ben Allen weaved his way through two challenges to advance into the penalty area. However, his eventual effort was sent over the crossbar.
Home keeper Billy Lawlor was called into action shortly after, when a clipped cross from the right wing found Pedro Carvalho in space inside the box. Carvalho struck his effort on the volley, but he was denied brilliantly by Lawlor's reflex save.
The Motormen took the lead at the stroke of halftime, when Carvalho shifted past a
defender to work space for a cross. His delivery was met by Ayo Olukoga, who headed the ball back across goal to score the opener.
Dockers struck back in the 68th minute, causing problems for the visitors with a Joe Elliott long throw. Issa Sidibe's flick-on found Bradley Bennett, who fired home against his former side to draw the game back level.
In the dying moments, Tilbury had the opportunity to snatch all three points when the ball fell to Jake Brocklebank following a corner. Unfortunately, his strike was somehow cleared off the line by the Redbridge goalscorer Olukoga.
Despite only taking a point, this was a much-improved performance from Dockers who are back in action on Tuesday (6 October) when they travel to face Buckhurst Hill, who sit two places below them in 17th.
