Trawler boys increase their haul against Blues

SATURDAY'S (15 November) Isthmian North clash on the coast survived an early morning pitch inspection following a drenching from Storm Claudia, but in the end Grays were left high and dry at the hands of the Trawlerboys.

The visitors gave an immediate debut to Sam Wade but ultimately the winger who joined from Brantham Athletic was unable to improve on Grays' poor league record against the Suffolk side, which now reads played nine, lost six, drawn two - with just one win.

After a goalless first half Lowestoft went ahead seven minutes into the second, Aaron Bullent's tenth of the campaign coming from the spot. 

The hosts added a second 13 minutes later, William Unadike with it, and in added time Bullent made quite sure of three points by scoring the third goal, leaving Grays in 16th place after a third successive defeat, during with time they have failed to score and conceded eight goals.

Blues are back in action on Tuesday (18 November) when they make the short trip to Hornchurch in the Essex Senior Cup fourth round.
