THURROCK RFC firsts return to Oakfield today (Saturday, 18 April) Saturday knowing exactly what's on the line…

Win, and they are crowned Counties One Essex Champions and they will make a return to Level 6 rugby at the first time of asking.

With a bumper derby crowd against neighbours Stanford-le-Hope expected and a sold-out VP lunch setting the tone, Oakfield will be bouncing.

Meanwhile Thurrock Seconds make the short trip to face local rivals Pegasus Palmerians in their cup semi-final.

A 39-0 win last weekend for Pegs at Romford & Gidea Park saw the Palmers College-based club complete their Essex One league season and they finished sixth, a place above Thurrock Seconds, with a two point advantage.

Thames completed their season last weekend with a 48-40 away win at Campion Seconds to secure third place in Essex Division Two.
