RUGBY returns at the double at Oakfield this weekend after the festive break.

On Saturday (6 January) Thurrock Mens Firsts will play host to bottom club Norwich in the London and South East Anglia Regional Two division, kick-off 2pm.

Thurrock are currently fifth. The match will be streamed live on YouTube: www.youtu.be/FwsHLy-45V4

On Sunday Thurrock ladies side the T-Birds will be looking to bounce back from their pre-Christmas 26-12 defeat at Old Albanians – their first loss of the season.

Despite the defeat T-Birds remain top of the Women's Championship South going into the new year, two points ahead of Old Albanians.

On Sunday they will face current champions Bath Ladies, who sit in mid table.

The player of the match and match ball will be sponsored by Ardent.

T-Birds are still looking for sponsors for match ball and Player of the Match awards for the forthcoming games at home against Henley and Reading Abbey.

Photographs will be taken with players following the game and will be shared with messages of thanks to all donors/sponsors of these awards on the club's media channels.

Players of the match against Old Albanians were Alex (Forward) and Abbie (Back).

If you can help T-Birds in any way contact the club by email on [email protected].

Sunday's match will be streamed live on YouTube: www.youtu.be/p51bd41DPpE/.

Tickets are still on sale for the T-Birds raffle and the draw will be made on Sunday at half time. A Smart TV, Air Fryer and a Cheese & Wine Hamper are among the prizes up for grabs! See Phill or one of the players or coaches, for tickets.
