THURROCK Men's rugby firsts will complete their pre-season matches with a clash against Braintree at Oakfield this afternoon (Saturday, 23 August), kick-off 3pm.

It comes after two impressive fixtures that have delighted coach Andy Yallop with wins at home to Burnham-on-Crouch and away at Woodford last weekend.

On the back of the win at Woodford, Yallop said: ""Winning is infectious, and the tune around the squad mirrors that! Our last pre-season game is at Oakfield next Saturday (23rd). It would be nice to get a huge crowd again as the boys have their last opportunity to put their hand up for a 1st team shirt before the season start against Old Cooperians."

The Counties One Essex league opener away at Old Cooperians is on Saturday, 6 September.
