Firsts hit the road for final time this season

THURROCK T-Birds will be in action today (Sunday 16 March) with a rearranged trip to Sutton and Epsom in the Championship South.

They will be looking for a third successive win after beating Beckenham at home 46-24, followed by a trip to play the same opponents away which they won 34-5 last Sunday.

It's been a season of regneration and rebuilding for T-Birds who are set to finish in mid-table after a run of compaigns where they have consistently challenged at the top of the table.

T-Birds will play their final league match on Sunday, 23 March when third-placed London Irish visit.

Meanwhile excitement is mounting as T-Birds' second approach the conclusion of their season, which could see a second successive trip to Twickenhamm.

After a thrilling quarter-final win against St Albans, they They now play Newbury, who were relegated from the Championship South last season, at home on Sunday, 13 April for a place in the Papa Johns Intermediate Cup final at HQ on 18 May.

In the interim the seconds team, who are on the brink of claiming the NC 1 South East (North) title, play away to Wasps next Sunday and their last league fixture is against Chesham at home on Sunday, 6 April.
