THIS weekend will see both Thurrock RFC Men's and Ladies 1st XV's at Oakfield on Saturday and Sunday respectively with the Men's 2nd XV also in action.

On Saturday, the men welcome their oldest foes in Gravesend to Oakfield. The Kent side were T's first ever opponents almost 100 years ago in 1928.

Both sides have had a tough start to life in Regional 2 South East, with both sides in search of their first Victory.

The game will see the long anticipated debut of Charlie Chitty, a former youth star for T's. He will start the game at fly half with younger brother Scott returning to the side at scrum half. Director of Rugby, Martin Jones is excited to see the brothers play together and hopes they can ignite the spark in the team.

Young Taylor Giroud is also inline for his debut and will look to become the 6th member of last seasons Senior Academy squad to represent the side.

The 2nd XV take a mixed side away to Wanstead to face off against their 2nds

On Sunday, the Ladies welcome Hackney Ladies to Oakfield in the first round of the cup.

The weekend also sees a full weekend for our youth sides with the Colts headlining as they host Southend at Oakfield. The 16s and 14s are also at home as they face Medway & Romford respectively. There are 2 sides away as the 15s travel to Braintree and 13s make the short journey to Basildon
