THURROCK T-Birds rugby team will be looking to continue their season-long winning streak when they play host to Womens Championship South newcomers Newbury at Oakfield on Sunday (26 November)

Newbury were promoted to the Championship after winning the South West 2 title and they have won just one of their seven matches.

In conrast T-Birds have won seven out of seven after travelling to demolish bottom club Reading Abbey 59-7 last week.

T-Birds Seconds also had a great win last Sunday, winning at home 65-10 against Thanet, who were previously unbeaten. They play away in the Papa John Cup this Sunday against Milton Keynes.

T-Birds Christmas raffle tickets are still on sale @ £5 a ticket or £20 a strip with the top prizes being a Smart TV, an air fryer and a Cheese & Wine Hamper! See Phill or one of the players for tickets.

The club is seeking sponsors for this weekend's Match Day Ball and the Player of the Match awards.

A club spokesperson said: "Are you able to help us this week or any other week? Photos will be taken with players following the game and will be shared with messages of thanks to all donors/sponsors of these awards on our media channels.
