THE Port of Tilbury will play host to a commemoration and celebration of VE Day on Thursday, 8 May, collaborating with Tilbury on the Thames Trust and Thurrock Council.

The celebrations will be from 2pm-4pm at the London International Cruise Terminal, in the Historic Railway Station.

There'll be music, dancing, and lovely displays from the Tilbury Riverside Project – plus tea, coffee and cake kindly served by the Seafarers Centre volunteers.

It's free to attend, and everyone's welcome.
