Our diesels dont often get a lot of the credit, however on this special running day they get to haul all of our trains. We will be running our main fleet of frontline diesels on the Burtonshaw to Angel Green services, as well as some of the lesser seen fleet on other services and demonstration goods trains.

Visiting locomotives are to be announced, as well as other information on the run-up to the event.

The Barnards Miniature Railway will be running train services on this day. Gates open at 11:00 and the last train leaves at 16:00. Trains run at regular intervals through the day. Please note the railway is usually very busy when we open at 11, to avoid the longer waiting times we recommend you arrive after we have opened.

Return ticket (one full ride of the railway), £7. Rover ticket (ride all day), £10. Adult and children's the same rate, under 3's travel free. No booking required, turn up on the day. Contactless payment only

Feel free to bring a picnic and use the tables and seating. Light refreshments offered from our Burtonshaw Terminus station.

Please note dogs are not permitted unless they are guide dogs.

Please note the gardens are closed to the public on this day. Therefore no garden entry fee, just the fee for the railway.
