About the event

Experience the magic of the season at Thameside, with our enchanting event featuring Mother Christmas! Delight in a variety of festive activities, including; a story nook, holiday crafts, exciting games, and a charming Christmas trail! Then warm up by the fire with a tasty treat, enjoy a special visit with Mother Christmas herself, and receive a fun gift.

Where do we meet?

This event takes place near the Cottage Car Park for Thameside Nature Discovery Park. This is at the entrance of the site before you go through the gate.

What should we wear?

Most of our events are fully outdoors and you need to come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom) which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them. 

What should we bring? Is food provided?

Weather permitting, we will have a campfire at the start of the session.  You are welcome to bring something to toast. Ideas include crumpets, little malt loaves, toasting tea cakes, sweet waffles, brioche, fruit, e.g. pineapple/mango.  Anything you can warm through on a stick really – we provide toasting forks.  No uncooked meat or nuts, please. Marshmallows and popcorn are not recommended for children under the age of 5.

We are located in Thurrock, between East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope

Is there parking?

Yes, we have a large free car park. 

Are there toilets?

Yes. There is a toilet located in the cottage. 

Can we bring a dog?

Assistance dogs are welcome on our events.
