AS part of the upcoming Dementia Action Week, which runs from Monday, 18 May to Sunday, 25 May, Thurrock's Alzheimer's Society will be holding an awareness event at the Town Hall in Grays.

It will take place in the foyer of the civic offices from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday, 19 May.

The event will open with a session organised by Dementia Friends and will be followed at 11am by a 'lived experience' talk.

Available throughout the day will be interactive tabletop activities, factsheets, publications and legal and rights information.

Also on hand will be helpful everyday products that support independence and well-being.
