DICKINNS Bar in East Tilbury has started to reach out to the community offering live entertainment nights.

One of the first is next month when Flying Blind will perform.

The venue's Billy Baker says: "Additionally, the venue is putting on family entertainment days at a cheap price, like the recent Easter party that had entertainment for two hours, a disco afterwards and all the kids got a free easter egg which all only cost £5 for a ticket which basically got them an afternoon out for the kids and an easter egg for them.

"This event saw a big response with 80 tickets being sold (only children had to buy a ticket so about 120-150 people in total showed up) which was a response we never even expected.

"We hope by doing this we increase the positivity in East Tilbury and also provide lots of fun days for families and adults alike in the future."
