Safely operate and manoeuvre an HGV Class 1 vehicle in compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.2. Transport goods and materials between specified locations, adhering to delivery schedules and deadlines.3. Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections of the vehicle and/or trailer to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance issues promptly.4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked in compliance with legal and company requirements.5. Adhere to all relevant health and safety guidelines, ensuring the safety of yourself and others at all times.6. Communicate effectively with management, dispatchers, customers, and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.7. Utilize navigation systems and maps to plan efficient routes and minimize fuel consumption.8. Adhere to driving regulations regarding rest periods and maximum driving hours, prioritizing safety and compliance.9. HGV MECHANIC - NIGHTS OTE: £58,500pa HGV Mechanic job details Basic Salary: £50,100pa Working Hours: 45 Hours per week - Various Night positions available Location: West Thurrock Skilled & experienced HGV Mechanic is required for full time permanent vacancy. For the HGV Mechanic role you will need to have prior HGV Technician experience working within a dealership or fleet maintenance environment.

We require Class 1 drivers (CE) for our client in Grays, Essex. The work involves picking up containers from Tilbury/Purfleet and drop them to the site. There will be short journeys, with around 5 drops a day. No hard work involved, just coupling & uncoupling the trailers and doing all the necessary safety checks. Class 1 Containers experience is ideal but not mandatory as they provide training on the site. PAYE or Umbrella only. Candidate Requirements Category CE Licence Holder with at least 2 years experience Aged 25 or older (Insurance Restriction) Have Full CPC Have a Digi card Maximum 6 Endorsement Points (minor traffic offences only) Be physically fit (the work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items) Hours of Work Hours: min 10 hours per shift Days and nights: Monday to Sunday Day shifts start time 6:00 a.m. Night shifts start time 18:00 pmPay - You will be paid weekly, every Friday direct to your bank account PAYE: Monday to Friday day 16.10 Monday to Friday nights 17.20 Weekend day shifts 17.20.
