Job Title: Drivers Mate
Location: Thurrock
Pay: 12.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:45 AM starts (with occasional Saturdays)
Job Description: We are recruiting Drivers Mates on a temp-to-perm basis for a leading electronic appliance supplier. You will work alongside a 7.5t Delivery Driver, helping to deliver and install appliances into customers' homes while providing excellent customer service. This role involves heavy lifting and physical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the driver with deliveries of electronic appliances
Help deliver items safely to customers' rooms of choice
Support with the installation and setup of appliances (training provided)
Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
Remove and recycle packaging where possible
Provide professional, friendly customer service at every delivery
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer-facing role is an advantage
Physically fit and able to lift and manoeuvre heavy items safely
Team player with strong communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high service standards
