Position: Import OperatorLocation: BasildonSalary: £30,000 - £40,000Due to growth, our client, a well-established freight forwarding company are actively seeking a skilled FCL Imports professional to join their Ocean freight team.In this role, you will take full ownership of full-container-load shipments, ensuring a seamless process from origin to final destination.Job Overview

• Managing end-to-end FCL import procedures, from booking to final UK delivery.
• Coordinating with international offices and shipping lines regarding schedules, container availability, and documentation.
• Liaising with internal customs teams to ensure timely clearance.
• Arranging UK transport and liaising with warehouses for de-vanning.
• Proactively tracking shipments and resolving any logistical bottlenecks.
• Maintaining high-quality customer service by ensuring client commitments are met.
• Updating systems accurately and assisting with document management (Bills of Lading).

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in Ocean Import Operations, specifically focusing on FCL shipments.
• Strong knowledge of container shipping documentation and processes.
• Confident in liaising with carriers regarding container availability and performance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of customs procedures (beneficial).

Salary & Benefits

• £30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience)
• Full-time, permanent (Monday-Friday)
