About the role
Based in the cruise department, the Port of Tilbury is seeking a Cruise Terminals Supervisor to supervise the coordination of vessel operations, staff, and stakeholders at the Port of Tilbury and London Central Moorings, delivering a high standard of service and a great experience for all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure terminals are fully set up and prepared for all cruise and event activities.
- Liaise regularly with agency labour suppliers to ensure staffing requirements are accurately defined and fulfilled.
- Maintain a safe operational environment for employees, visitors, contractors, and resources, ensuring compliance with legislative and company safety policies.
- Investigate incidents and complete accident and damage reports in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all operational and service requirements are in place for each vessel visit.
- Prepare and implement, in conjunction with Operations colleagues, detailed action plans for each cruise ship visit, outlining agreed scopes of work and key liner activities while alongside, including control of carparking operations.
- Supervise and oversee the entire vessel operation in accordance with terminal procedures and operational standards.
- Coordinate all shoreside activities in conjunction with internal teams and external service providers.
- Maintain accurate operational, security, and plant usage records, including identifying and reporting maintenance requirements
- Work flexibly across different port assets as required, providing operational support and supervisory oversight to meet business needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent IT and report writing skills.
- Knowledge or understanding of cruise operations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Safety Awareness.
- Problem solving skills.
- Full driving licence, valid in the UK
- Full UK working rights
