A WOMAN required hospital treatment after being bitten by a dog that had attacked her pet, which was also badly injured. She has since been referred to a specialist unit to deal with her wounds.

The incident happened around 1.30pm on the Parkside field close to Tilbury town centre on Sunday, 20 February.

The woman's daughter, Jade Dahl, is appealing for information about the possible owner of the unleashed dog.

She says: "Does anyone know someone with a Brindle Staffie that attacked my mum on Parkside this afternoon.

"My mum and her dog Chloe we both hurt. My mum's had to go to hospital and Chloe is at the vets in a bad way!

"The Staffie was on its own and ran off down Beeches Way. We would be grateful for any information."

Jade can be contacted via her Facebook page.

On Sunday evening Jade added: "My mum has only just come out of hospital. She been on a drip has to go Broomfield Hospital tomorrow. Chloe has to go back in few days as she's too swollen to x ray.

"My mum, who is is 6ft, picked Chloe up and the other dog ripped her out my mums arms."
