IN just four weeks Thurrock Scout and Guide Gang Show returns to the Thameside Theatre in Grays with their annual production of Stride On for what will be their 53rd year!
It will showcase a variety of song and dance numbers as well as comedy sketches. The cast comprises Brownies, Cubs, Scouts, Guides, Rangers, Explorers, Network and Adult Leaders.
The 50-strong cast are all active members of Scout and Guide organisations across Thurrock and are from the ages of nine years upwards. There are also just as many people backstage keeping the show on course just like a well-oiled machine!
Event organisers say one of the items in the show this year is a very special, poignant and uplifting number recognising the 75th Anniversary of D-Day which commemorated in 2019.

The show runs at The Thameside Theatre each evening from Wednesday, 25 to Saturday, 28 March. Performances start at 7.15pm. There is also an additional Saturday matinee performance which starts at 2.15pm.

Tickets can be purchased from the dedicated box office on 01375 378863, priced at £13 for adults and children and OAPs at £8.

On top of the public performances, there is also a free performance on Tuesday 24 March for local charities, care homes and warden-controlled/sheltered housing. If you belong to one of these and would like more information about tickets, then also contact the box office number.
