THURROCK Council wants to hear from residents that live, visit, work and learn in Grays to help inform and shape the town's regeneration ambitions building on previous consultations.

The Transforming Grays consultation invites residents, as well as local businesses and community groups, to share their views on potential projects, including the initial design concepts for Grays underpass, which has received £11million funding from the government's Local Growth Fund, to help identify a preferred option to take forward to the design stage.

Cabinet member for regeneration, Cllr Mark Coxshall said: "Our ambitious regeneration proposals will set the tone for future high quality development of Grays town centre, invigorate the High Street, encourage more people to use local businesses and develop a vibrant night time economy.

"We want Grays to be an exciting place for people to live, work, visit and learn, with high quality cafés, bars, restaurants, shops, markets, cultural attractions, entertainment and events. We encourage residents to take part in this consultation and help shape the future of Grays."

The consultation launched with an event at Grays Shopping Centre last weekend to hear residents' thoughts and ideas. A further event is planned to take place on the ground floor of the Civic Offices on Thursday 12 March from 11am to 3pm.

To take part in the digital consultation, click on the red additional information button below. Alternatively residents can use the digital screens on the ground floor in the Civic Offices, New Road, Grays.
