Crews tackle field fire near Woodside homes

FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a field blaze close to a Thurrock housing estate this evening.

The alert was raised just after 9.30pm and crews rushed to the scene on land adjacent to the Dock Approach Road in Little Thurrock, off Wood View and close to the new housing estate on the former college campus at Woodside.

The blaze was extinguished by crews.
