Emergency services, including the air ambulance respond to Grays incident after young woman is injured

By Neil Speight 3rd Feb 2022

EMERGENCY services, including the air ambulance, responded to an incident in Grays at lunchtime.

The alert was raised after an accident involving a bus in Clarence Road just before 1pm.

A statement from the East of England ambulance service said: "We were called to Clarence Road after receiving reports of a collision shortly before 1pm today. Crews attended and treated a female patient at the scene before transporting her to the Royal London Hospital for further assessment and care."

Local roads were blocked by police while the incident was dealt with but they reopened by 4pm.

This evening Nub News was given an update on the patient's condition in hospital. She has suffered superficial facial injuries, broken bones and some cuts and bruises but is expected to make a full recovery.
