Firefighters cut two trapped people from overturned vehicle

TWO people had to be cut free from an overturned car after a crash between Chadwell St Mary and Tilbury this afternoon (Saturday, 23 May).

The incident happened on Marshfoot Road at around 2pm.

Two casualties were trapped in a vehicle, the only one involved in the accident, which had overturned.

Firefighters from Grays, Orsett and Corringham were called to the scene to help free them.

The crews managed to stabilise the vehicle and release both casualties by 3.39pm.

Both casualties were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
