A THURROCK mum has just published another book aimed at helping inform children about matters that could cause them concern.

Two years ago Donia Youssef, from Bradleigh Avenue, Grays, wrote a book called "The Monster in Mummy".

It was inspired by her own story and was a way of informing children about the way cancer affects lives.

After celebrating her 39th birthday in April 2017 Donia learned she had the disease.

Aside from fear of the cancer itself, Donia found herself intensely worried about how she would break the news to daughters Tiana and Aaliyah, then aged two and five.

But Donia embraced the challenge and wrote her 'Monster' book about the disease and its impact on all their lives.

The book proved a big success and Donia won awards for it.

And as stories from other mums and children came in when people saw the book, Donia wrote several others. You can learn about them here.

Now Donia has produced a 'Monster' book about coronavirus called: "Monster in the Air: A children's storybook on the Coronavirus".

She says: "My inspiration to write the book came from the initial doom and gloom we have had over us and I wanted a fun and light hearted memoir to look back at our experience for children to connect with.

"Also in the book there are links to support children who may be experiencing any worries."

The Book "Monster in the Air: A children's storybook on the Coronavirus" is now available to purchase via all major book distribution outlets such as Amazon.
