VOLUNTEERS who help keep a town blooming have been out and about again today (Saturday, 4 September).

The Stanford-le-Hope Blooming Marvels have cleared up[ an area close to the town's station and have a number of new planters in place.

The group has been going for around five years and is responsible for planters and flowerbeds throughout the town, all of which are maintained by the volunteers, who have an allotment and polytunnel to grow their own plans as well as buying them with donations.

You can read more about the group via its Facebook page – which is also the place to go if you wish to support their efforts.
