A TRADITIONAL large family home near the centre of Stanford-le-Hope will be turned into house of multiple occupancy (HMO) if plans put before Thurrock Council are approved.

A scheme has been submitted to turn a property at 41 Southend Road from the existing dwelling hous to a HMO with nine double bedrooms and shared facilities.

Some minor works would take place to the external facade including the removal of the rear porch and replacement of doors to the rear into windows.

The site currently has space to accommodate nine cars, which the applicants say will remain for the new purpose.

Full details of the sceheme and the opportunity to comment on the application can be found here.
