QUAY workers at DP World's London Gateway Port have raised more than £4,000 for Basildon & Thurrock Hospital by having their heads shaved.

The 'Shave To Help The Brave' gesture is part of the port's tribute to carers and staff within the NHS and included the creation, with mobile cranes and containers, of a pictorial tribute on the quayside at the port at Corringham.

More than 20 workers have signed up for the headshaves, which have been carried out at home to maintain social distancing rules.

And you can support them by donating through a Just Giving page which has been set up.
