Thurrock poised to get third vaccination centre at Thurrock Community Hospital

A THIRD Covid-19 vaccination centre is about to be opened in the borough, Thurrock Nub News understands.

Sources within the local health service have told Nub News that what is described as a large-scale vaccination centre will be opening in the coming week at the Alastair Farquharson Centre operated by NELFT NHS Foundation Trust at Thurrock Community Hospital.

It will be one of a number of new centres opening across the county under the auspices of the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) which is co-ordinating the large vaccination centres across Mid and South Essex and Suffolk and North East Essex.

It is understand Chelmsford Race Course and the Cliffs Pavilion in Southend will be among new centres.

The new site in Thurrock, like the two existing vaccination centres at Stifford Clays and Chadwell medical centres will offer jabs to residents nominated to go there by local GPS.
