TWO sisters and former students of St Clere's School in Stanford-le-Hope have started out in the world of business together.

Emily, 17, and Alice, 19, Sedge from Chadwell St Mary have set up Sedges Pet Styling at the Walton Hall Farm courtyard at Linford.

Alice has recently completed her Open College Network level three training in dog grooming in Tendering and, during lockdown, the girls decided to go into business.

"We gad always wanted to work together and though I had already started training to be a hairdresser when Alice qualified we thought 'why not go for it?'

"So with our family's support, here we are. We have been made very welcome at Walton Hall alongside the other businesses here and we have had a great start and are having a lot of fun working together."
