FORMER students at Gable Hall school have produced a rendition of a popular musical showpiece as away to thank their teachers for inspiration they have given.

Because of coronavirus the students couldn't get together to say their thanks in person but they came up with a very special musical message that left one teacher, Karina Latham, in tears.

She was the focal point of the thanks organised by Ben Stroud and friend Josh Jennings but the wider message was to all teachers - as Ben explains.

He says: "Josh and I were singing together and our teacher, Ms Latham shared it.

She is a great supporter of so many ex-students and always makes us feel special, even after we have left.

"This inspired Josh and me to get students from the last 10 years together and record something for her.

"Shaun Crisp (who also stars in the video) offered to put it all together.

"We wanted all teachers to know how important they are to students, and we hope this goes a little way in doing this."
