Thurrock Adult Community College launches Cybersecurity Basics course
Residents looking to improve their digital skills and learn how to stay safe online are being encouraged to enrol on Thurrock Adult Community College's Cybersecurity Basics Level 1 Award.
With cybercrime and online scams becoming increasingly common, the course is designed to help learners build confidence using technology while gaining a practical understanding of online safety and security.
Participants will:
- Learn how to recognise common online threats, scams and phishing emails
- Understand how to protect personal information, devices and online accounts
- Gain an introduction to cybercrime and cyber security
- Develop safe online habits for work and home
- Explore progression routes into further digital and IT qualifications
The course is suitable for anyone looking to improve their digital confidence, support family members with online safety, or explore future opportunities within the technology sector. No previous cyber security experience is required.
