RESIDENTS in Thurrock, particularly those who live or work in the Lakeside area, have been asked by police to look out for a missing teenager - and if they see her, call 999.

They have expressed concern about the welfare of 16-year-old Leigha Harris who is missing from the north Essex area.

She was last seen at around 7am on Saturday (7, March).

Leigha is described as 4ft 6ins tall, slim, with very long brown hair often worn in a pony tail. She has pink tints in her hair.

She was last seen wearing a white fluffy coat, a grey jumper, and black leggings.

Police say they believe it is possible she may be in the Grays or Lakeside areas.

A statement says: "We need to find her to make sure she's ok.

"If you've seen her, are with her, or have any information about where she is please call 999 quoting incident 1254 of 7 March.

"We believe she is wearing black leggings, black Nike Air force trainers, white long sleeve ruffle shoulder top fur coat, beige three-quarter jacket and a silver necklace with pendant."
