A big weekend for Summer

A THURROCK pilates instructor who started teaching classes from a garden cabin is opening her first studio this weekend.
As initially reported on Thurrock Nub News in June, House of Flow Pilates Studio will open at the former Lounge Bar, Unit 4 in Lakeside Business Village following months of refurbishment work, with a launch party planned for Friday and classes beginning on Saturday.
Owner Summer Lilley, 25, said the opening marked the culmination of years of work.
"This is my passion which started as a dream and has now turned into a reality," she said.
Ms Lilley previously ran sessions from a garden cabin before deciding to take on her first commercial premises.
She said: "I just hope anyone who walks through those doors feels as strongly about the studio as I do."
Transforming the venue into a fully equipped studio took longer than expected, she said.

"It took weeks more than we ever thought. Good things take time and we have made sure everything is perfect so we are looking at around eight to 12 weeks it has taken."
She said the team faced a number of challenges, saying: "Tradesmen letting us down and not delivering. Delayed deliveries — you name it, we've had it."
The studio includes a changing room and a shower, making it convenient for commuters or those heading elsewhere after class.
The studio will run hot yoga, hot sculpt, hot mat Pilates, reformer mini and me classes. Reformer pre and postalnatal, Reformer mixed level and reformer beginner classes.
It will operate from 6am till 8.30pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm on the weekend.
