AS the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations got underway today, the final preparations are being made for many street parties to be held across the borough over the extended bank holiday weekend.

Some will be small affairs, while others necessitate the closure of whole streets.

But you can be sure that each will be packed with fund and will spark memories of traditional British way of doing things that will last for years for the young people involved.

If you would like to share a memory of your event with our local community, please send us a picture via email or Facebook (or post your own details via our NubIt button and we will put a compilation of borough celebrations together.
