BOROUGH Mayor Cllr Sue Little was on hand on Sunday (30 July) to deliver a message of congratulations from King Charles and Queen Camilla to the matriarch of a Thurrock family.

Viola Grazier, known to most people as Bobby, lived in Cowper Avenue, Tilbury for 78 years before moving to the Bluebell Care Home in Grays.

On Sunday, many members of her extended family and friends turned up at the home to celebrate her 100th birthday.

Cllr Little delivered the King's congratulations and passed on her own message of best wishes.

Everyone then enjoyed a buffet and an afternoon of live entertainment.
