FOR the second time this week, volunteers with the Thurrock Re-engage group were busy bringing lonely people from across the borough together.

Earlier in the week guests attended a Valentine's Day event and today they were hosted at Headon Hall in Stifford Clays.

Regional organiser Loraine Coleman said: "A beautiful day for a tea party. We had a lovely afternoon being entertained by our very talented volunteer Richard Gilbody who serenaded our tea party guests with songs they could sing along to. Thank you so much Richard.

"We welcomed two new tea party guests Shirley and Jean and a new volunteer Mark Hooper. A big thank you to all our wonderful volunteers for driving and taking care of our lovely tea party guests and clearing the mountain of washing up.

"What would we do without you. Love and hugs to everyone."
