A Welcome will return in Stanford-le-Hope

A POPULAR club which extended the length of its coronavirus lockdown closure has announced it it planning to reopen next month.

The Welcome Club in Stanford-le-Hope is set to re-open from Monday, 10 August for members only.

The club announced it would not be rushing back after lockdown but, following a Management Committee meeting today (Saturday, 25 July) and after assurances regarding staff and member's safety, it has been decided to reopen the club.

Hours of opening will be limited as follows:-

Monday to Thursday 5pm to 10pm

Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12 noon to 10pm

There will be guidelines in place to ensure social distancing, and sanitisation, including registration at the door for Track and Tracing purposes.

The club interior will be laid out differently to ensure safety of staff and members.

"We are looking forward to seeing members back in the club and staying safe," said secretary Jim Heale.
