ESSEX and Suffolk Water have announced that after a closure in more that 36 hours, the A128 at Chadwell St Mary is scheduled to reopen at 3pm this afternoon.

The road was closed bu a burst water main.

A spokesperson for Essex & Suffolk Water said: "We expect that the A128 at Chadwell St Mary will re-open by 3pm today, following yesterday's burst water pipe.

"While the repair was complicated and slowed down by the volume of water in the area, both rainwater and that from the burst, this is now complete.

"We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused motorists and thank them for their patience while we worked to carry out this repair."
