Aggressive man made threats and damaged goods at town store - Police have issued an appeal for help to identify him

POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses and information after an incident at Stanford-le-Hope's High Street Co-op store this morning (Sunday 17 May).

Officers were called at around 7am to reports of an assault after a man entered the store and threatened someone inside before damaging products and then leaving.

He has been described as white, 5ft 5ins or 5ft 6ins tall, slim, with grey hair.

Police have issued the following appeal: "If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.

"Please quote the crime reference number 42/75490/26.

"You can let us know by submitting a report on our website where you can use our online Live Chat service available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) between 10am-9pm.
