THE air ambulance was deployed to help at an incident in Purfleet yesterday (Thursday, 5 May) afternoon.

An alarm was raised just after 3.30pm when a person fell outside the town's rail station, with several passers by offering immediate help and alerting the emergency services.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to outside the railway station in Purfleet just after 3.30pm following a report that a person had suffered injuries after a fall. Two ambulances, a senior paramedic and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
