A GRAYS man has been ordered to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on 18 June to make a plea after being charged with sending indecent images of genitals and making comments of a sexual nature to a person under the age of 16.

Terry Tuby, 18, of The Haven, Grays, did not appear at an initial hearing at Basildon.

A 38-YEAR-old Grays resident, Erika Plytnikiene, of Saxton Close, Grays, has been ordered to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court on 23 June to make a plea after being charged with assaulting Laurynas Plytnikas.

She was granted bail on condition she does not contact Mr Plytnikas directly or indirectly except through a third party for child contact only.

BRIAN Burt, 50, of Rosedale Road, Grays, pleaded guilty to two charges of breaking restraining orders and entering the home of the person who named in the order.

He was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work and pay a surcharge and costs totalling £240. The restraining order was also extended.

JOHN Osborne, 30, of Church View, South Ockendon, was remanded in custody awaiting trial after pleading not guilty to three charges of assaulting a woman.

Sarah Jane Roberts, 47, of Maples, Stanford-le-Hope, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault.

She was released on conditional bail, with strict instructions about witness contact, until she appears for trial at Soutghend magistrates' Court on 22 July.

JAZ Samule Blundell, 30, of Viola Close, South Ockendon, was released on conditional bail to appear for trial at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court on 10 June charged with a number of offences including shoplifting and using threatening behaviour.

He must live and sleep each night at his home in Viola Close.

CAMERON Alexander Flynn, 20, of Viola Close, South Ockendon, admitted stealing meat and other items from the Co-op store in the town and causing criminal damage at Grays Police Station.

He was ordered to pay compensation of £57.03 to the Co-op and £50 for the damage to a holding cell door. He also has to pay costs of £60.
