Another complete weekend closure of A13

MOTORISTS and local residents are reminded of another major A13 closure over the weekend, starting tonight (Friday, 11 March) from 9am.
Both carriageways will be closed until 5am on Monday, 14 March between the A1089 (Tilbury) and the A128 (Orsett Cock) junctions for road surfacing works.
In addition, the A1089 northbound link road to the A13 eastbound carriageway will also be closed.
During the weekend closure, traffic will be diverted via the A13, M25, A127, A128 and vice versa. A separately signed alternative route will be available for vehicles which are not permitted to use motorway diversion routes.
To minimise the impact on residential areas, road users are urged not to divert through nearby towns and villages.
