IN the latest of a series of planning applications affecting the village of Horndon on the Hill kennels could be bulldozed to make way for nine new homes.

Pyrmont Homes is seeking planning permission to demolish kennel buildings, outbuildings, exercise runs, and hardstanding at Brooklyn Kennels, Black Bush Lane.

The land is classified as Previously Developed Land (PDL) and qualifies as Grey Belt under the updated planning regulations.

If approved, Pyremont Homes will build a 3-bedroom chalet-style home with a detached garage, two four-bedroom family homes with detached garages and studies and three four-bedroom homes with garages.

The proposal includes access improvements off Blackbush Lane and associated sustainable transport measures.

In a design and access statement, Pyrmont Homes said: "The development will deliver high-quality housing in a sustainable, low-density layout, with a focus on enhancing the site's appearance, minimising green belt impact, and improving accessibility

"The proposal provides redevelopment of a redundant site with minimal impact on green belt openness and significant visual and environmental improvements."
