Appeal for witnesses after robbery in which gang assaulted man in park

POLICE are appealing for witness following a robbery in Belhus Park, Aveley on Friday, 15 May at around 3:30pm.

A young man was approached by a group of five young men and got into a verbal altercation.

The group then assaulted the man who sustained a broken hand, and they stole a number of items including a small speaker.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact Grays CID on 101, quoting crime reference 42/69098/20.
